I have a question for you Reader, What if you already know? Not everything. Not exactly how it’s going to work out. Not every step between where you are and where you want to be. But what if somewhere underneath all the thinking, researching, asking, analyzing, second-guessing and trying to make the “right” decision… you already know something? Maybe you know the relationship isn’t the problem. Maybe you know the relationship is the problem. Maybe you know you need to rest. Maybe you know you need to have the conversation. Maybe you know you’ve outgrown the thing you’ve spent years building. Maybe you know exactly what you want but you’re afraid of what wanting it will require. And sometimes the hardest part isn’t knowing. It’s trusting ourselves enough to do something with what we know. That’s where self-awareness becomes practical. Self-awareness isn’t just knowing your personality type or understanding your childhood or being able to explain why you do what you do.
It’s being willing to notice what’s true…
even when the truth is inconvenient.
I’m an experienced squatter in the space between knowing and doing. That’s why people trust me to be that space with them.
And that’s often where the real changes begin. Sincerely, Sonja P.S. If you’re sitting with something you already know but haven’t quite figured out what to do with it, that’s exactly the kind of thing we can explore together in a private coaching hour. 60 minutes, $55. I’ve gotten a few responses since I started writing to you again Reader, And something I’ve noticed is that people aren’t necessarily looking for a giant life overhaul. They’re looking for a place to put what’s happening in their heads. A decision. A transition. A relationship. A career question. A nagging feeling. A desire they haven’t admitted out loud yet. A version of themselves they’re ready to leave behind. Or simply the question: “What the hell am I doing?” 🤨 I understand. And...
I realized something recently Reader “Private coaching session” can sound a little vague. So let me make it more concrete. When you book an hour with me you don’t have to show up with a five-year plan. You don’t need a perfectly articulated goal. And you definitely don’t need to impress me. You might start with: “I don’t know if this is even something you can help me with, but…” And then we go from there. Maybe you’re trying to make a decision. Maybe you’re questioning something you’ve been...
There are some things we're generally remarkably good at doing alone. Paying bills. Showing up to work. Taking care of everybody else. Making the appointment. Handling the problem. Keeping things moving. And then there are the things we can spend months trying to figure out by ourselves. Should I stay or go? Is this really what I want? Why do I keep doing this? What happens next? Am I making the right decision? Why am I so tired when nothing is technically wrong? And sometimes we don’t even...
